This job was made up of 3 challenging phases. Parts of the Library were kept live to ensure the University staff and students could still utilise its facilities.

The Challenge/Brief:

The refurbishment of the Edward Boyle Library (EBL) will allow the development of an Information Resources Hub at the heart of the campus, serving taught and postgraduate students as well as staff, fit for the 21st century and reflecting the University’s ambitious academic vision.

The upgrade will create a dedicated IT rich environment that will be home to over 2,000 group and silent study spaces, a postgraduate study zone along with teaching spaces and a new café.
