I’ve worked with TIS for several years and always found them to be professional and reliable. Their open door policy gives me the reassurance that I can pick up the phone and speak to a senior member of their management team at any time, for any query and receive a speedy resolution.

With particular regard to the Bournville Gardens project, I was involved from its inception as a concept, through to the commissioning and eventual handover to the operational staff. The security and communications package for the Bournville Gardens build was quite a leap of faith in TIS for us at ExtraCare, but we were confident that TIS could deliver on their promise of a ‘first of its kind’ converged infrastructure within what was to become our flag ship village.
TIS’ original converged infrastructure design was proposed following several meetings with ExtraCare to evaluate our contemporary requirements and discussions about what future technologies may develop. Over a period of several months the design was tweaked further based on our staff’s response to demonstrations and consultation groups held by TIS at their Head Office or at the ExtraCare Head Office.

As expected from the outset, due to the complex and pioneering nature of the system, the project wasn’t without its problems and both the installation and commissioning phases presented their own particular challenges, but as we have come to expect, TIS took ownership of the problem and quickly developed a solution.

Through an EU tender, South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (SYPTE) have awarded TIS with a contract for both planned and reactive maintenance of CCTV, Intruders alarms and access control from April 2016 to Mar 2019 with the inclusion of a two year extension option if the contract proves successful.

To date, TIS have demonstrated an excellent, professional attitude towards completing works in accordance with contract terms. Their engineers are polite, punctual and very informative. In addition, due to the nature of operations at our sites, TIS fully understand the standards and parameters which we expect TIS to operate under and I am pleased to say, they never fail to meet these standard.

Their leadership from the contract manager down to their engineers is also excellent with communication across both parties key to the success of the contract.

I fully support this reference and would have no hesitation in recommending TIS for any like for like services currently provided to SYPTE.

TIS have provided CCTV installation, integration and maintenance on behalf of WMCA (West Midlands Combined Authority), since 2012. WMCA’s CCTV estate covers the public transport network of the West Midlands, including bus stations and interchanges, tram system, park and ride sites and rail stations.

Work to date has included the reactive and preventative maintenance of a 1200 CCTV camera system, including associated network, switching and storage.

TIS have also assisted WMCA in upgrading a number of sites from analogue to IP, including CCTV, help points and PAs, providing advice, installation, and configuration and commissioning. Upgrade and refresh projects have been up to 100 cameras, help points, PAs and other devices.

TIS have always provided a very high standard of service and work. Work on the rail network and also with Police colleagues has meant that staff have had to be vetted to NPPV level 2 and also been PTS trained.

I have no concerns regarding the standard of work, the safety of their staff, our staff or passengers whilst carry out work and have no problem recommending them for similar works.

The input at tender and design stage (Callum Smith) was the initial stand out positive with TIS, they tabled several options for each discipline along with multiple cost saving options should the client wish to have taken. Once the design was established and signed off the operation running was passed to Craig Beastall. Craig managed the project in the manner of how I believe the industry should be. He was committed, true to his word, non-confrontational and knew the importance of the client’s needs and their pressured timescales. Inevitably as most jobs go, the commissioning period declined as the builder pinched our time. Collective we sat together to overcome a challenging commissioning period and handed over the project on time to the satisfaction of Imtech, the builder and the end user. Good Work, Thanks.

Nottingham Control Centre had some work in regard to alarm systems and dual com units at NCC’s main site Loxley House today that did not directly sit within the remit of your TIS engineers however they accommodated our concerns at short notice with external installers and went out of their way to help get the job done and ready for signal testing.  I know NCC would have had to call off their preprogramed work and testing for both today and tomorrow had your engineers not stepped up to assist. Their approach saved NCC potential loss of money and enabled our service to be set and ready.
