4.1 million homes currently form part of the UK’s social housing sector. Normally social housing is provided by councils and the not-for-profit organisations (such as housing associations).
A key function of social housing is to provide accommodation that is affordable to people on low incomes. Statistically, tenants of these homes are at a greater risk of property crime within their areas – which is where TIS comes in.
TIS is a leading force in the provision of CCTV systems and works with many local authorities and housing associations to provide a range of security and safety systems.
For many years now we have worked in partnership with agencies ranging from Nottingham City Homes, the Nottinghamshire Police Authority and residents with independent living schemes in order to help create a safer living environment for citizens and residents, help support partners in the prevention and detection of crime and help improve the service through innovation and continued commitment to training and staff development.
We have experience in designing and installing specialist CCTV systems across the social housing sector and also provide on-going service and maintenance in these areas.
We have been the retained service and maintenance providers for Nottingham City Council
and Nottingham City Homes for the past four years and provide a dedicated a 24 hour a day,
365 days a year service.
Our dedicated team of seven permanent on-site staff currently carry out reactive repairs and complete annual service schedules to 203 public space CCTV cameras, 1,100 CCTV cameras within 18 high rise properties, 3,900 door entry systems within 18 high rise and 273 low rise properties and 50 automatic doors and barriers, along with CCTV within operational buildings and communal aerial to over 10,000 properties providing an IRS+.
