TIS, one of Nottingham’s leading fire, security and communications specialists has announced that it has been given the go ahead to undertake the service and maintenance work at The University of Nottingham for the second year running.
Nottingham based TIS was awarded the contract extension, after the success of their initial work with the university.
The new contract will see TIS complete service and maintenance of the new University Park campus as well as other sites that are already home to the 387 CCTV cameras – all connected over IP to a fully integrated Milestone VMS system, 200 Honeywell Galaxy intruder detection systems and 17,000 emergency lighting luminaries, all previously installed and maintained by TIS.
TIS Project Manager, Nick Hollins said: We are pleased to once again be working with the University of Nottingham, I am delighted to announce we will be progressing to Year 2 of Service and Maintenance to providing state-of-the-art security to their largest campus yet.
Specialising in security solutions, TIS will be maintaining the equipment installed on the new 300 acre University Park campus that features periodic buildings, modern state-of-the-art teaching facilities, 12 halls of residence, several award-winning building, a conference and exhibition centre, sports facilities and the Lakeside Arts Centre.
The University of Nottingham is situated in the top 10% of University’s in the UK, boasting features such as one of the countries largest and most attractive campuses, such as the University Park campus site that has been part of the University since 1948.
