The building has five stairwells and a central lift with communal facilities including a large lounge with a kitchen and library area, male and female WC’s, a laundry, guest room, residents’ car park and extensive gardens. It is built on a sloping site so one side of the building is higher than the other, the ground floor is therefore separated into a lower ground floor and an upper ground floor and the first floor is separated into a lower first floor and an upper first floor.
TIS were asked to replace a number of existing emergency lights throughout the corridors and lobbies of the scheme. We replaced these lights with a higher quality LED Fitting which increases the light levels. Much needed as some areas have very little natural light! It has been estimated that our replacements potentially translate into an energy reduction of nearly 69% and an annual CO2 saving of 9.3 tons!
We were also asked to remove and replace the rear entrance door and side screen, and replace with a single swing automatic Aluminium door to provide access to the rear of the building.
