Access Control and Automatic Doors
TIS were instructed to Supply, Install and Commission 2 Double Glazed Single Swing Automatic Doors and an Access Control System.
Masson Court in Nottingham consists of 25 Independent Living flats along with a communal lounge and is inhabited by the over 60’s. Nottingham City Homes are undertaking regeneration works in such properties across the city and Masson Court (built in 1976) is the latest building to benefit from these works. To further complement their recent renovation works Nottingham City Homes tasked TIS with supplying and installing a door access system to provide added security to specific areas for residents and staff. The installation of this system limits access to areas by the general public ensuring the residents and staff’s safety and security whilst allowing automated access via an allocated fob scheme to those with permissions.
The new automatic doors are compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA). This Act applies to virtually all organisations, including small businesses with fewer than 15 employees. The DDA states that reasonable provision should be made to ensure that buildings are accessible and useable by all those that could be expected to use the building. All of TIS’s Automatic Door installations are fully DDA compliant. For more information on our Auto Doors Division please click here.
