Project Manager:

Shannon Bell

Systems Installed:

Intruder Alarm System

Job Details:

Additional detection to the intruder Alarm System for extra protection to the Loan Gallery.

The Challenge/Brief:

The head office for the National Justice Museum is based at Nottingham’s old Shire Hall and County Gaol.

There has been a court on the site since at least 1375 and a prison since at least 1449.  Over the centuries, many thousands of people have entered the building with a sense of dread for their future.  The very steps to the entrance were the main site of many public executions.

As TIS are one of the UK’s leading independent Fire, Security and Communications specialists we were the obvious choice when it came to enhancing the Intruder Detection System within the Loan Gallery.  The Loan Gallery is soon to be used for an exclusive upcoming new exhibition.  Of course, due to the nature, age and heritage of the building TIS ensured extra precautions were taken when installing the new equipment to avoid any damage to the fabric of the building.

Project Manager Quotation:

Working in such an historical building with it’s formidable history was very interesting.  The project ran smoothly and completed on time.  I am confident that with our installation the contents of the 2019 exhibition will be kept very safe and secure.
