We are delighted to have successfully completed a contract to provide a range of energy saving lighting and fire systems for facilities owned and managed by Housing and Care 21.
The company Housing 21 manage sites across the country, providing homes for more than 31,000 people. The project was for their Rivers Court sheltered housing facility in Minster, Kent.
We designed and installed new LED lighting, which uses innovative microwave and motion sensing technology for efficiency. This technology enables the lighting to run at 10% until motion is detected, then it increases to 100% for a programmable length of time before reverting back to 10%. This solution is not only a great energy saver but provides substantial cost savings for energy costs too.
The contract also included a complete replacement to the suspended ceilings to allow for all the new lighting and fire alarm detectors and sounders to be fitted.
TIS, Project Manager Richard Amatt said: “Housing and Care 21 are a great client to work with, the systems and solutions we provided will ensure they not only save money but help save the planet too”
Frank Ling, Housing and Care 21’s Senior Surveyor, said:
“We’ve been working with TIS for some time now. I’ve always been impressed with their knowledge and expertise. They take the time to understand the problem to provide the best possible solutions, the quality of their work and attention to detail has always been and continues to be impressive”.
