Chesterfield Borough Council – The Winding Wheel
TIS were commissioned to install a CCTV system
The Winding Wheel was originally built as the Picture House cinema in 1923 and later became the Odeon in 1938. In the 1960’s the building was partly converted into a nightclub. The building closed as a cinema in 1981 and in 1987 Chesterfield Borough Council bought and refurbished the building and re-opened it as the Winding Wheel Exhibition, Entertainment and Conference Centre. In 2000 the Winding Wheel was made a Grade II Listed Building.
TIS were tasked with the project of installing suitable perimeter coverage CCTV and did this using Hik Vision Dome Cameras providing the required coverage at the desired cost to the client.
Project Manager Quotation:
“Working on this historical and atmospheric building was a pleasure. We have installed the CCTV in an unobtrusive manner so as to not hamper the original façade, this result was bought about by the extensive work undertaken by our engineers liaising with the planning authority on issues such as camera locations. As the building is Grade II Listed this work was critical in achieving the desired result”
