TIS were contracted in 2012 to supply and install all new CCTV equipment along with a new control room that the council were currently undertaking. Since the start TIS have been very professional with Bassetlaw DC with advice, design and guidance to make an outstanding CCTV Control Room. Also the continued dedication from the service team has enabled us to find a more efficient and proactive service programme for the coming years. I can only but praise TIS for all their excellent effort and I look forward to our continued relationship.
I’ve worked with TIS for several years and always found them to be professional and reliable. Their open door policy gives me the reassurance that I can pick up the phone and speak to a senior member of their management team at any time, for any query and receive a speedy resolution.
With particular regard to the Bournville Gardens project, I was involved from its inception as a concept, through to the commissioning and eventual handover to the operational staff. The security and communications package for the Bournville Gardens build was quite a leap of faith in TIS for us at ExtraCare, but we were confident that TIS could deliver on their promise of a ‘first of its kind’ converged infrastructure within what was to become our flag ship village.
TIS’ original converged infrastructure design was proposed following several meetings with ExtraCare to evaluate our contemporary requirements and discussions about what future technologies may develop. Over a period of several months the design was tweaked further based on our staff’s response to demonstrations and consultation groups held by TIS at their Head Office or at the ExtraCare Head Office.
As expected from the outset, due to the complex and pioneering nature of the system, the project wasn’t without its problems and both the installation and commissioning phases presented their own particular challenges, but as we have come to expect, TIS took ownership of the problem and quickly developed a solution.
Through an EU tender, South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (SYPTE) have awarded TIS with a contract for both planned and reactive maintenance of CCTV, Intruders alarms and access control from April 2016 to Mar 2019 with the inclusion of a two year extension option if the contract proves successful.
To date, TIS have demonstrated an excellent, professional attitude towards completing works in accordance with contract terms. Their engineers are polite, punctual and very informative. In addition, due to the nature of operations at our sites, TIS fully understand the standards and parameters which we expect TIS to operate under and I am pleased to say, they never fail to meet these standard.
Their leadership from the contract manager down to their engineers is also excellent with communication across both parties key to the success of the contract.
I fully support this reference and would have no hesitation in recommending TIS for any like for like services currently provided to SYPTE.
I’d like to add my thanks and continued appreciation for the fantastic works that are being achieved by your team, here at the University of Leeds. The consistency, continuity and dedication demonstrated by the team, including the challenges of the day to day ‘calls for service’, Capital Works Project, Customer Service/expectations and simply going that extra mile are ever omnipresent. Thank you to the TIS Crew here at Leeds, (Eugene, Martin, Dion, Chris, and supporting teams from TIS HQ) for the same.
Moving forward, I have absolutely no doubt that the already well established partnership work between TIS and the University of Leeds will continue to increase exponentially, with a particular collective steer on ‘IP HIK Technology and our longer term approach/aspirations for a sustainable platform for our Main Campus CCTV system and potential future integration of the wider number of satellite faculty based CCTV systems therein.
TIS have provided CCTV installation, integration and maintenance on behalf of WMCA (West Midlands Combined Authority), since 2012. WMCA’s CCTV estate covers the public transport network of the West Midlands, including bus stations and interchanges, tram system, park and ride sites and rail stations.
Work to date has included the reactive and preventative maintenance of a 1200 CCTV camera system, including associated network, switching and storage.
TIS have also assisted WMCA in upgrading a number of sites from analogue to IP, including CCTV, help points and PAs, providing advice, installation, and configuration and commissioning. Upgrade and refresh projects have been up to 100 cameras, help points, PAs and other devices.
TIS have always provided a very high standard of service and work. Work on the rail network and also with Police colleagues has meant that staff have had to be vetted to NPPV level 2 and also been PTS trained.
I have no concerns regarding the standard of work, the safety of their staff, our staff or passengers whilst carrying out work and have no problem recommending them for similar works.
I have worked with TIS on a number of projects. I find them very accommodating and professional, often positively influencing our investment decision with their vast expertise across a number of solutions.
I’ve worked very closely with their Sheltered Housing Installation and Refurb Manager, Richard Amatt who has a wealth of experience and skills across a wide range of systems. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Richard or any of the team at TIS.
The service offered by TIS when installing our state of the art CCTV system was exceptional. The entire process from initial consultation through to installation was delivered with exceedingly high levels of professionalism and efficiency. All aspects of the installation were delivered in complete partnership with the Academy and open and regular communication meant that the process ran smoothly and on time. We are delighted with the quality of the imagery that the CCTV provides and has been hugely beneficial in supporting the daily work of the Academy.
TIS were engaged to undertake a number of security and protection systems within our new office facility. With the focus of our new development being on smarter systems, we found all the staff extremely knowledgeable and helpful, with special thanks extended to Shannon and Craig in not only demonstrating the latest technology, but all faultless support both through installation and final handover and aftersales care.
The input at tender and design stage (Callum Smith) was the initial stand out positive with TIS, they tabled several options for each discipline along with multiple cost saving options should the client wish to have taken. Once the design was established and signed off the operation running was passed to Craig Beastall. Craig managed the project in the manner of how I believe the industry should be. He was committed, true to his word, non-confrontational and knew the importance of the client’s needs and their pressured timescales. Inevitably as most jobs go, the commissioning period declined as the builder pinched our time. Collective we sat together to overcome a challenging commissioning period and handed over the project on time to the satisfaction of Imtech, the builder and the end user. Good Work, Thanks.
Many thanks for the commitment and enthusiasm shown to SYPTE since you have managed the contract. Your open, friendly and honest approach has been refreshing and the upgrade works at RTI has proven extremely beneficial. I know there is still quite a bit of work to do but I feel confident I will leave SYPTE knowing TIS will continue to provide an excellent service.
I would like to pass on my thanks in respect of your engineers Phil Ashmore and James Starbuck.
Nottingham Control Centre had some work in regard to alarm systems and dual com units at NCC’s main site Loxley House today that did not directly sit within the remit of your TIS engineers however they accommodated our concerns at short notice with external installers and went out of their way to help get the job done and ready for signal testing. I know NCC would have had to call off their preprogramed work and testing for both today and tomorrow had your engineers not stepped up to assist. Their approach saved NCC potential loss of money and enabled our service to be set and ready.
A few years ago both myself and Boots were encountering a few issues with TIS and things weren’t that great. Since then a few changes have been introduced by TIS, one of the major changes in my eyes was moving Service to Nottingham and having a new office. Can I just say things have got much better from a service point of view and me being able to talk to them on what I feel is a more customer focused experience, which is great now.
Can I also just give you feedback on your staff that I have had the pleasure of working with. We have just had a CCTV site upgrade at Boots and can I say what an excellent job the engineers have done. They are polite, courteous, smart, hardworking and nothing was too much trouble, even when I wanted a few things changing around.
He’s done a great job managing the whole upgrade, always available on the phone when I needed him and made time to come and see me every day to make sure things were running smoothly.
The engineers who did all the hard work on the ground:
Great guy who knew exactly what he was doing, he ran the show from engineering point of view, nothing fazed him and any issues I had he sorted with great professionalism and never complained.
Terry Unwin, Daniel Roberts , Dean Wheeler
Again great guys, hard working and polite.
Spoke to Laura at the Nottingham office many times with issues I had or parts I needed urgently, she was always happy to help even when I probably got on her nerves as I kept pushing for things.
I have Known Nathan since he first started with TIS, again another engineer always happy to help, even if he didn’t have the answers he would go out his way to try and help me.
My rock at TIS, any issues, complaints, advice, general moans or someone to shout at when I get frustrated. He always listens and sorts them out if no one else can, really is a top guy.
All the guys I have mentioned are real credit to TIS and a pleasure to work with, there are other TIS engineers I have met that also shown great attitude.
Well done for a great CCTV upgrade to all involved.
I’ve now worked with TIS on a number of schemes where they were responsible for the design, installation & commissioning of the fire alarm, CCTV, intruder, door entry, warden call, TV/Sat, telecoms & data systems. The TIS personnel that I have worked with from the site engineers up to the senior management have all been friendly, easy to with work and approachable. Dealing with a contractor that fully understands the clients expectations is rare and I’ve been delighted in the way TIS have performed and delivered an excellent service. I would definitely consider appointing TIS on future projects.
We had the pleasure of working with TIS in Malvern in 2015 where they installed and commissioned specialist services for an Audley retirement village where we acted as the principal contractor. TIS handled all aspects of the job professionally and expediently helping us to remain on program. Following our first project with TIS we have recently contracted them for a second project. We would be happy to recommend TIS and look forward to continuing to work with them in the future.
We have worked with TIS for several years on Audley Projects and I have always found them to be professional and reliable. We have now appointed them on our preferred supplier list for any future projects following our recent experience with them. TIS have always responded when asked upon and their quality on site is excellent.
TIS in-house design and their speed to turn around a full set of working drawings is their strength to starting the project off. Once we have awarded TIS the order they appointed a Contracts Manager to that project who deals with the smooth operation of the project until handover to the client. Their handover of projects and aftercare are very good and I would highly recommend TIS as Fire & Security specialists.
I wanted to thank Abdul and his team for all their hard work over the past couple of weeks.
You’ve all been very professional and worked very efficiently, I’ve not known any of issues that you have had and it’s a massive breath of fresh air to work with a team that are as dedicated as your won.
Looking forward to working with you in the future.
We have been working with TIS over the last 4 years on luxury retirement living schemes and have found them more than helpful and very approachable when faced with challenging schemes and a client with an expanding vision for technology.
We consider TIS technology guru’s and would highly recommend them.
The team at TIS have been innovative in providing solutions to our various client’s complex communications requirements, integrating access control, monitoring, cctv, call systems, IRS, data and voice services seamlessly into a single supplier package and has enabled our clients to stay in the forefront in their field.
TIS provide ongoing support and maintenance and, being from a single supplier, is ideal in maintaining a good quality of service.
As our client’s requirements continue to evolve and develop, TIS have risen to every challenge we have put to them and arrived at timely and economic solutions.
We continue to work with TIS on multiple projects and look forward to working with them for many years to come.
I wanted to let you know how pleased I was with how TIS have managed the works at Malvern. The majority of this praise has to go to Matt Rokny (with the support from others) who has definitely put in hours and worked very hard in order to deliver the scheme and hit deadlines
Matt has helped overcome various problems on site and totally has a can do attitude. I’m sure you will understand when I say this but there aren’t many people on site that you can trust when people say something has been completed. Matt was definitely someone I could trust and if he told me something would get done or was done I knew it was.
I’m not generally one to sing the praises of others but on this occasion I thought I should.
