TIS understand the environmental impact of the business, and the ways in which these should be managed and minimised. TIS continually looks at ways to improve the company’s fleet of vehicles by reducing the vehicles omission levels and introducing eco vehicles.
Wherever possible, the waste produced is kept to a minimum with items being reused and recycled. The company is registered with local agencies in compliance with regulatory requirements. Environmental considerations are integrated into investment decisions, the design of products, services provided, by suppliers and with sub contractors. All employees and sub contractors are required to follow the implementation of the company’s Environmental Policy.
We have been working with Investors in the Environment (iiE) and the students of Nottingham Trent University to be a part of their scheme to help businesses reduce their footprint and ensure we have environmentally friendly practices within the workplace, in order to gain a recognised environmental accreditation.
Investors in the Environment is a national environmental accreditation scheme. It is designed to help organisations save time and money, reduce their impact on the environment, and get promoted for their green credentials.
Whilst working to help the students with their degrees, we also provided iiE with data and demonstrated the procedures we have in place to show that we qualify.
We are extremely pleased to announce that we have been certified with the green accreditation award for our 2% year on year reduction in our carbon footprint!
This certification showcases our green credentials and we will continue to work to monitor the impact we have on the environment and maintain being a truly sustainable business.
iiE encourages everybody to be mindful of their impact on the environment and offers TIS continued support and advice on staying ‘green’.
