Record breaking turnout for this year’s Nottingham Business Expo

TIS was one of more than 120 businesses from across the UK who came together at The Motorpoint Arena for the second annual Nottingham Business Expo.

More than 1,500 people attended the event, which gave local businesses the opportunity to network and build business relationships.

Exhibitors ranged from IT specialists and motor racing companies to golf club owners and visitors looking to bring more business to the city.

A series of workshops took place throughout the day, as well as talks from high profile guest speakers including BBC’s Daily Politics presenter Andrew Neil, gadget expert and radio producer Olly Mann and lastminute.com founder Brent Hoberman CBE.

Delegates were able to try their hand on a 30ft putting green and relax and enjoy a drink with colleagues at a special cocktail bar.

Commenting on this year’s event, Nick Hollins, key account manager at TIS, said:

“This is the first time was have attended the Nottingham Business Expo and we were very impressed.”

“It gave us a fantastic opportunity to promote our brand and demonstrate our services to the businesses of Nottinghamshire and beyond.”

Organiser Gary Allen, from All About Tourism, added:

“A lot of the time people associate business events with London or Birmingham, which is why we wanted to showcase Nottingham as a place to perhaps relocate to, as well as for inward investment and growth.”

“By holding it in the Motorpoint Arena it’s making a bold statement. It’s the biggest venue in the city and based on the feedback from last year we wanted to make that step forward.”
