Sales and Design Consultant (Automatic Doors)

Due to the Company’s continued success we are looking to expand our Business Development Team in Nottingham and are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Sales and Design Consultant (Automatic Doors).

Sales and Design Consultant (Automatic Doors) – Ref: V181

Location: Nottingham

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to grow their career and become a valued member of our Business Development team. You should be positive and enthusiastic having the ability to provide the client with a premium service and the capability to work independently or within a team when required. You will be responsible for delivering growth and maintaining existing customer requirements.

The role involves:

  • Your main goal will be to proactively sell new installations and service and maintenance contracts for automatic doors / automation products to both new and existing customers
  • Proactively research, identify and convert new business opportunities
  • Production of designs and quotations for automatic/swing/sliding doors, barriers and roller shutters
  • Provide technical and design information
  • Build and maintain business relations with key clients
  • Be able to build relations with new clients to ensure growth in your area
  • Ensure quotations are delivered within the deadlines provided and followed up
  • Keep up to date with relevant regulations, legislation, market development and products
  • Liaise directly with suppliers to obtain material quotations
  • Negotiate quotations with the client.

Key Experience/qualifications:

  • You will need to be an accomplished Sales and Design Consultant with a proven track record within the automatic door / automation industry.
  • Access control knowledge is preferred but not essential
  • You will have a good working knowledge of BS7036, EN16005 and Machinery Directive
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • You will have a track record of working to and exceeding your KPIs
  • Have a keen interest in technology and providing solutions that are cost effective and profitable
  • You will be a team player with ambition
  • Be able to communicate and build successful working relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Excellent inter-personal skills with a pro-active work ethic
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Full Driving Licence.

You should also have the ability to:

  • Work on your own initiative or as part of a team
  • Be a positive and enthusiastic self-starter
  • Work well under pressure and be able to meet deadlines
  • Have the desire to learn new technologies and continually improve your knowledge.

Working hours: Monday – Friday 8.00am – 5.00pm

Salary: Competitive, dependant on experience, skills and knowledge
