Here at TIS we brought out our red noses for Red Nose Day in order to raise money for the annual fundraising event organised by Comic Relief.
Comic Relief is a major charity based in the UK, with a vision of a just world, free from poverty. Starting in 1985, they have achieved amazing things and have risen over a whopping £1 billion.
On the day all staff enjoyed a full day of fundraising fun with staff dressing in something red and tucking into the bake sale. Other activities included selling red noses and posing for staff red nose selfies.
With everyone wanting a slice of the action, Amy Chambers and Sharon Garton got busy in the kitchen to provide delicious goodies for the bake sale, selling cakes, sausage rolls and cheese twists all which were gone long before dinner time came around!
Cakes and other treats were sold for 50p each, red noses for a £1 and dressing up £2.
Every penny helps towards Comic Relief’s great work transforming lives both here in Britain and in Africa. Every penny raised through Red Nose Day is spent on providing grants that can help change lives forever, giving people a leg-up, not a hand-out.
Overall we successfully raised £132, thank you to everyone for taking part!
Paul Cook, Commercial Director of TIS commented “We are delighted with our final total, every penny counts and we are just glad we could show our support and contribute towards a great cause. It was a real team effort that made it such a success.â€

Here’s our engineer Darren Alton spicing up his red nose day look in his engineer selfie!
Well done to everyone who took part, we look forward to exceeding our total next year!
