TIS support Kidsafe

TIS have donated ‘Kidsafe’ packs to two local schools in Mansfield; John T Rice Infants and Nursery and King Edwards Primary School.

Supporting local communities is important to TIS, so when we were approached by Kidsafe to provide safety awareness games boards for young school children, we were more than pleased to help.

The complimentary packs are designed as a tool to help 7-11 year olds learn about various aspects of safety. They include Games Boards which have been designed by Kidsafe to be both entertaining and informative in explaining to the children how they can play safe and stay safe.

The objective of Kidsafe is to provide as many unique and valuable resource packs to schools, hospitals and child activity projects, gaining as much support as possible from the local business community to make this possible.

Kidsafe are trying to create awareness for children all over the UK to learn to be safer and their unique approach helps get the message over to children in a fun but informative way. The safety activities include topics such as:

– Stranger Danger

– Vandalism and Crime prevention

–  Racism and bullying

– Drugs

– Road Safety

– Green Cross Code

The activities have all been put together through consultation with educationalists across the UK, so that the game covers all the relevant topics to children at Key Stage 2 level.

Paul W Cook, Director commented “TIS have been involved with the provision of communications and security systems to schools throughout Nottinghamshire for many years. Protecting the school environments for the safety and welfare of pupils is an important and significant part of the TIS business and this is reflected in the Kidsafe games packs.”

TIS have received a letter from King Edward Primary showing their thanks and appreciation for the packs.

Here at TIS we hope the safety packs prove beneficial and provide the children with the safety knowledge to stay safe and play safe.
