TIS Upgrade The Golden Ticket for Shacklocks

December 1, 2014

Our specialised engineers have successfully upgraded the main I.T server, installed new hardware and upgraded all of Shacklocks’ computers to operate with 2010 Exchange and 2013 Microsoft Office.

The advancement also makes use of the latest virtualization software. Virtualization allows more than one operating system to run on one physical server allowing for the sharing of hardware resources which leads to cost savings in hardware, cooling and power. The new solution is used by over 50 users across all of Shacklocks offices.

Sharon Garton, HR Manager at TIS Mansfield, said: “We are delighted to have earned the Shacklocks contract. We have completed previous installation projects at Shacklocks in the past and it’s great that once again Shacklocks have come to us to upgrade their main I.T servers.”

TIS were awarded the contract after previously installing an Intruder Alarm system and installing the original data infrastructure at Shacklocks 15 years ago.

Amy Spencer, IT Manager, at Shacklocks LLP, said: “We have dealt with TIS for some years for assistance with a range of IT Systems and support services and always find them to be highly reliable, knowledgeable and organised. Throughout the process of planning and installation TIS took on board the needs of our business and recommended software and hardware accordingly. They have liaised with our third party software and internet providers and have assisted with challenges faced with those. We continue to deal with TIS, almost on a daily basis and find the IT support team to be helpful, friendly and very quick to assist with any day to day issues faced”.

TIS now look after the IT on all four of Shacklocks’ sites and have great working relationships with the firm and its people. Shacklocks have also signed up to a remote system supported by our specialised engineers. The installation and maintenance of IT networks is a growing market for TIS and something we see as becoming an integral part of future business.

Mrs Garton, added: “We plan to continue to maintain and install systems at Shacklocks’ four sites and have a successful relationship in the future. We’ve been working with the firm for 15 years and it’s testament to the good work that we are doing that Shacklocks are still asking us to upgrade and support their IT network.”
